About
We bought our farm in 2016 and started raising sheep the following year. Michael enjoys taking care of the woodlands, and Jessica manages the pasture and livestock. After several years of rotational grazing and lots of lime, what was once a field dominated by broomsedge is transforming into a healthy habitat for sheep. Our journey of reconnecting with our roots inspired the children's book linked below, featured in the Kentucky Book Festival and Kentucky Living Magazine.
In 2021-22, we added some sheep from the National Sheep Improvement Program to take our flock's genetic potential and productivity to the next level. As we begin participating in NSIP, we are excited to offer a limited number of our very best lambs as breeding stock next year. Estimated Breeding Values take much of the guesswork out of selecting the best without having to rely on visual appraisal alone, which reflects more on management style than genetic performance.
Whether you're just starting your flock or looking for a new ram, we would welcome the opportunity to help you find what you need. Call, write, or visit us soon! We're only a 15 minute drive from Interstate 75, just off Highway 30. We're easy to find, but top quality sheep usually aren't!
